I love that in a book!

This was exciting to read - full of suspense both on the water and on the land. Madelyn, having lost everyone she has ever cared about in her life, carries an unhealthy grudge against God and is refusing to talk to Him. When all of these bad things start happening to her, will she step further away from faith or will she be drawn nearer to the only True Comfort one can find amidst the evil that has invaded her life?

Lots of action and some romance on the side always makes for a good book! I enjoyed reading this one.
Just as soon as I THOUGHT I had figured it out, the story took another twist! I was very pleased with this publication. I always am with this author, however, just because you have read one of hers, does not mean the next one will be the same. Each can stand alone, and each will have its own merits.
Murder, mystery, intrigue and perhaps a pirate or two...of sorts...There's plenty of action and difficulty knowing who the good guys and bad guys truly are. Once again, Christy Barritt weaves a lovely ending with an important message of hope and stability in any storm. *I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.*
Very riveting mystery! It shows how tragedy can either lead you closer to God or create a distance. This vacuum that is created in one's life cannot be filled by pursuing a career or climbing a professional ladder. The emptiness remains until you turn back to God. This book also shows how words can be manipulated to destroy someone's reputation. Very enjoyable reading!!! Well written!
I have *loved* every book by this author. She knows how to keep up the intrigue with interesting plot twists, and her characters are always strong. I find myself wanting to always read another book with the main characters (but sometimes they aren’t part of a series). I highly recommend anything from Ms Barritt, you will NOT be disappointed!
